Best Beer Stops in Vegas

One of the questions I get asked most often is where the best craft beer places are in Las Vegas. The first thing I say is GET OFF THE STRIP! No, but seriously, if you're a real craft beer fanatic, there's really not much available on the Strip (I'll name a few later on just to appease the "I only stay on the Strip when I go to Vegas" peeps.

  1. Arts District- home to Brewery Row, this is the largest concentration of Vegas craft beer bars and breweries in a walkable area. Whatever you do, DO NOT walk from the Strip or downtown to the Arts District, it's sketchy, and absolutely not worth it. Some breweries to hit are Crafthaus. They offer a wide variety of styles from IPAs, German styles, Sours, and even slushies and seltzers, and the quality is top-notch. Able Baker is another must-visit brewery. This spot also has incredible food, so come hungry! I'm a big fan of their Honey Dip Stout, and you must get a flight (you can pick your own or go with one of their pre-set options), mostly because it comes with a fun rubber ducky. HUDL is also great choice with some award-winning brews in a nice bright space. Bad Beat is the latest to join Brewery Row (they used to be in Henderson for many years prior). This spot offers their beer, guest beer, and cocktails. For beer bars, Silver Stamp is one I always bring beer friends to. It dark and cozy, like an old-school bar from the 70s. They have a huge selection of drafts, cans, and bottles, specializing in craft and local brews and Belgian beers. Servehzah is a popular bar that has a massive walk-in beer fridge with cans for purchase. They also have draft beers and some craft cocktails. Other breweries in the area include: Hop Nuts, Nevada Brew Works, Las Vegas Brewing Co, CinCin, and Voodoo Brewing

  2. Other Notable Off-Strip Spots- Beer Zombies has three locations throughout Vegas and are best known for their IPAs. North 5th Brewing is shocker- in North Las Vegas, so it's a little bit of a trek, but their beers have always impressed me. Big Dog's is one of the OG breweries in Vegas. It's also a drive, but it's a great spot with amazing food and a variety of tasty brews. Hofbrauhaus is a massive German beer hall close to the Strip that features their traditional beers and is such a fun time! Ellis Island is also close by the Strip, showcases their own house brews and they're very affordable! Pub 365 at Tuscany Casino has literally 365 beers. Slater's 50/50 is a restaurant with delicious burgers and 50 draft beers. Red Dwarf & Grey Witch (same owner) are a couple of fun and funky dive(ish) bars with killer Detroit pizza and a small but solid rotating draft beer list. Other breweries to note: Lovelady, Mojave, Chicago Brewing, and Neon Desert

  3. The Strip- While the selection of craft beer is pretty minimal on the Strip (and you'll be paying a lot more), there are a few places I can recommend. Beer Park at Paris, Beerhaus at New York New York, BrewDog near MGM, and Black Tap and Flight Club at Venetian/Palazzo
